If you are restricted in length, give us your total length and we can compress your numbers. In the State of Florida a boat’s number must be properly displayed as: The figures are to read from left to right. They must be displayed on the forward half of each side of the bow of the boat. Numbers must be in bold, block letters, not less than 3 inches in height. They must be a contrasting color to the boat hull or background. They must be as high above the waterline as is practical. No number other than the number assigned can be displayed on the forward half of the vessel. Letters must be separated from numbers by spaces or hyphens. Validation decals must be displayed within six inches of the numbers display on the port side.  When you apply for your title and registration ask for your state’s requirements for proper display of your boat registration numbers.
