Boat Registration Numbers and Letters are 3 in. tall by approximately 19 in. to 28 in. long.

The length of your vinyl boat numbers depends on your characters and choice of font. If you are restricted in length, give us your total length and we can compress your numbers. In extreme cases we may need to change your font to Dom Casual or Flash

Boat registration numbers will ship USPS, approximately 2-3 days shipping time from our Bradenton Florida Sign Shop.

All boat numbers bought from Buythesign.com will be prespaced, leveled and can be installed as one piece.
  1. Squeegee your watercraft registration numbers down with one easy motion, making a fast and precise installation every time.
  2. Never touch the adhesive backing of the vinyl numbers.
  3. Always use a squeegee to apply the vinyl numbers or letters onto your boat or sign surface not your fingers. The squeegee will prevent air bubbles and is needed for the pressure activated adhesive on the backside of your boat numbers.

In the State of Florida a boat’s number must be properly displayed as:

  1. The figures are to read from left to right.
  2. They must be displayed on the forward half of each side of the bow of the boat.
  3. Numbers must be in bold, block letters, not less than 3 inches in height.
  4. They must be a contrasting color to the boat hull or background.
  5. They must be as high above the waterline as is practical.
  6. No number other than the number assigned can be displayed on the forward half of the vessel.
  7. Letters must be separated from numbers by spaces or hyphens.
  8. Validation decals must be displayed within six inches of the numbers display on the port side.
When you apply for your title and registration ask for your state’s requirements for proper display of your boat registration numbers.
